On Dec. 19, 2023, the SMART CARE Workshop, an event dedicated to innovative telemedicine solutions based on IoT and AI for monitoring patients with chronic heart failure, was held at the Aula Fermi of the Ecotekne Campus in Lecce, Italy.
The event was attended by academic and industrial experts, including:
- Prof. Michele Ciccarelli (University of Salerno) – Epidemiological and clinical aspects of heart failure
- Prof. Luigi Patrono (University of Salento) – The SMART CARE project and its applications in eHealth
- Prof. Massimo De Vittorio (Italian Institute of Technology) – Innovative nanotechnology-based solutions in healthcare
- Prof. Filippo Cavallo and Beatrice Francalanci (University of Florence) – Wearable technologies for the prevention and monitoring of heart failure
- Dr. Fabio Giordano (IN RES Consulting) – Regulation and new technology platforms
The workshop provided an important opportunity for researchers, companies and institutions to discuss the challenges and opportunities offered by emerging technologies in the management of chronic diseases.
