Dr Antonio Ficarella holds key roles in academia and research, currently serving as the Head of the Department of Engineering for Innovation since 2019, with a prior term from 2013 to 2015. They have been the President of the ITS Aerospace Foundation since 2013 and served as the Dean of the Faculty of Industrial Engineering from 2008 to 2012, and President of the Industrial Engineering School in 2012-2013.
Their extensive involvement includes coordinating university activities in the Apulian Aerospace District since 2008, and membership in the Board of Directors of the Aerospace Technological Cluster from 2009 to 2015 and from 2020 onwards.
